The second ProteinMB Summit happening on November 21, will focus on a critical pillar of the Manitoba Sustainable Protein Advantage Action Framework: Measurement, Monitoring and Verification.

This Summit will provide insight into salient trends impacting your organization’s sustainability strategy. With advancing government legislation and changing social expectations, what emerging developments should your organization be focusing on when doing sustainability planning? What type of sustainability reporting will be required for accessing export markets, for example? What are the new expectations and approaches around decarbonization? And where are the opportunities for sustainable protein to position itself as a leader in this evolving world?

Join Nancie Lefebvre, Sustainability Advisory Lead at Modern West Advisory, as she breaks down some emerging trends in this area and helps orient Manitoba’s sustainable protein industry on its path toward future success.

     Speaker:

    Nancie Lefebvre has worked in the environmental and sustainability management space for over ten years. She works at Modern West Advisory as Lead, Sustainability Advisory. Modern West is one of Canada’s leading carbon economy advisory firms with expertise in carbon markets, greenhouse gas emissions accounting, and sustainability strategy & disclosure. Nancie focuses her energy on progressing sustainability programs for clients which incorporate practical and innovative solutions. She works with clients across various industries and diverse jurisdictions around the world. She has a strong background in sustainability disclosure and implementation, including developing strategies and managing risk and opportunity. Her forte and passion lies within the environmental and social aspects of ESG. 

    Previously, Nancie has worked in environmental compliance and Indigenous relations. Nancie has an M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Development and a B.Sc. in Environmental Science with a concentration in Physics. Nancie currently is the Board Chair for Connecting Environmental Professionals Calgary.   

    Nancie’s presentation will highlight salient trends ProteinMB Associates should be taking account of when doing sustainability planning and setting sustainability goals.
